Meet Nick

Nick Albares is a husband and proud father of three school-aged boys, and his life has been shaped by the same hopes as families across Louisiana — good schools, affordable healthcare, and real opportunity. Those priorities are what led him to a career in public service.

Nick has spent his career making government work for people, helping connect policy to real-world results so families can access reliable healthcare, stable housing, and support services when they need them most. He has worked alongside nonprofit organizations serving older adults, people with disabilities, veterans, and families striving for stability.

He also served as a policy advisor to John Bel Edwards, where he helped protect Medicaid expansion and advance practical solutions to strengthen communities across the state.

Nick earned his undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University, grounding his work in both strong values and practical experience.

Now, as a candidate for the U.S. Senate, Nick is running to fight for the dignity of every person, stronger healthcare families can count on, and more opportunity for Louisiana’s communities — because the future he wants for his own children is the future he wants for yours.
